Kari “Laffy Taffy” Vicknair, Summer Fun Day & Mini Camps Director
|
Hey! Laffy Taffy here and I am ready to jump into my 10th year of camping with you! My career in outdoor recreation and camping began in my home state of Louisiana. I joined Girl Scouts professionally in 2007 as Director of Outdoor Programs running multiple camps in southern Mississippi. My love of the outdoors along with seeing the success girls can achieve at camp drives my passion for the Girl Scout experience. This year, I have filled the Summer Fun Day & Mini Camps with lots of program opportunities from animals to art to adventure that you are sure to enjoy. I’m especially excited about our new “A Day in the Life…” program for older girls which will open your eyes to the endless possibilities life has to offer. There is something for each of you, so grab your friends and get ready to have a blast with me at camp!

Summer Fun Day & Mini Camps
Summer Fun Day & Mini Camps are a long time Girl Scout program tradition. They provide Girl Scouts of every age the opportunity to have an outdoor camp experience. These programs are offered at properties owned by Girl Scouts of Wisconsin – Badgerland Council or other recreational and park facilities across the council jurisdiction. Our Day Camps, whether single or multiple days, are a great short term, day time only, opportunity for girls and families who have other summer commitments or are just trying out an independent experience. Mini Camps offer girls the chance to have an overnight adventure away from home without committing to a week away. It is a great next step for any Girl Scout as they prepare for Resident Camp. Every opportunity here allows girls to build confidence and independence as they meet new friends and make memories they will enjoy as they look back year after year!
